Nobody feels the call of "spring" more than motorcycle riders. When the time comes for you to start riding, please be aware of the many changes going on around our base. There is construction going on all over. Keep an eye out for construction vehicles and those new stop signs and lower speed limits posted in the West Gate area. These changes will undoubtedly create unexpected traffic delays. Please use extra caution if you must ride through these areas. I suggest avoiding these areas whenever possible, unless it is absolutely necessary. Slow moving traffic is no place for a motorcycle.
Wow, springtime is nearly here. This means pedestrians, joggers, bicycles, scooters and motorcycles are out in the streets in large numbers. Recently, I even saw a unicycle cruising down Main Street at 4 p.m. when the traffic volume is very high. He was wearing a dark jacket and hat and he was slightly out of control, but he was managing to keep his face off of the pavement and stay out of the middle of my lane, at least most of the time. I'll bet he kept the rubber down for a half a mile before he went down.
