You may have noticed security forces using a handheld device at the gates recently. Defense Biometrics Identification System (DBIDS) tests are under way as Hill Air Force Base joins more than 75 other Department of Defense sites in the use of advanced identification security technology.
Working initially with an earlier version of DBIDS, 75th Security Forces Squadron required a large portion of the Hill workforce to report to various security forces stations on base in order to register, in the months leading up to the advanced version now being brought online.
Officials from Hill Air Force Base and Sunset Ridge Development Partners LLC hosted a ribbon cutting and groundbreaking ceremony Jan. 18.

Lt. Col. Anthony Maisonet, commander of the 75th Security Forces Squadron held a Warrior Call on Oct. 18. Maisonet talked about his roles and responsibilities while he was deployed at Kandahar Air Field in Afghanistan.

Williams’ award nomination noted that she single-handedly organized the parking plan and security for the 309th Maintenance Wing Change of Command ceremony. This involved coordinating with six base agencies ensuring the ceremony was memorable for more than 1,000 guests.
