The 419th Fighter Wing is hosting a muster of Individual Ready Reserve personnel here June 2 beginning at 7:30 a.m. in Building 900. The muster offers local members of the IRR an opportunity to update medical records/status, contact information and ID cards, and to receive important information and briefings. The IRR consists of personnel who previously served active duty or Reserve, but are currently on inactive status.

Veterans and nonveterans alike are Invited to the Utah Department of Veterans Affairs ninth annual Veterans Memorial Golf Tournament.

Come for 18 holes of golf May 31 at the Hubbard Golf Course at Hill Air Force Base. Check-in, registration and continental breakfast will be from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m.; tee off follows at 8 a.m.

Phase 4 of the effort to repave the medical clinic paving lot will continue through May 11, weather permitting. The clinic parking area west of and far from Building 570 and the clinic parking area northwest of and near Building 570, will be closed for repaving. Traffic will be detoured to other parking areas. Accessibility and crosswalks will be maintained as deemed safe around construction equipment. Motorists will not be able to travel where posted and deemed unsafe due to construction. Phase 4 will not start until Phase 3 is complete.

The main driveway and the clinic parking area the furthest southeast of Building 570 will be closed for repaving. Traffic will be detoured to alternate parking areas. Accessibility and crosswalks will be maintained as deemed safe around construction equipment.

The Hill Half Marathon will be held May 12 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Approximately 40 volunteers will be needed for such duties as manning aid stations, crossing guards, set up and registration, time recorders and timekeepers and a clean-up crew.

A fundraiser is being held to raise money through a garage sale to benefit the squadron. Donations will be accepted from any contributors on Friday, May 4 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Clothes, furniture and other items that are collecting dust, taking up space or are no longer needed are appreciated to support this good cause.

The event will be held Saturday, May 5, from 7 a.m. to noon at 2031 N. 2150 East in Layton.
