A holiday weekend special on skis/snowboard rentals allows you to pick up your gear anytime on Friday, Dec. 23, and return anytime on Tuesday, Dec. 27, for the two day rental fee, and again similarly the next weekend.

Friday hours are extended until 9 p.m. on both holiday weekends to accommodate guests who need to pick up their rental packages and ski tickets.

Outdoor Recreation is also the perfect spot to shop for holiday gifts including the GoPro video camera, helmets, goggles and gloves.

The Landing (formerly Club Hill) will be ringing in the New Year from 8 p.m. with hors d'ouvres until 11 p.m., and will include a midnight toast, followed up by a breakfast buffet -- all of this plus a DJ to dance the night away. Cost is $50 per couple, $25 individual, $60 for nonmember couples and $30 for nonmember individual.

New Year's Eve Lock In, Dec. 31 will feature activities for ages 9-18. Ring in the New Year among your friends at the Youth Center from 7:45 p.m. on Dec. 31 to 8 a.m. on Jan. 1. Cost is $30 for members and $35 for nonmembers and includes games and activities, pizza and a light breakfast.

March 13-16 marks the return of Hill's Ski Meet after a 14 year absence. The fee is $425 for three days of racing and all-area lift tickets to Snowbasin. The Airmen and Family Readiness Center is hosting its popular Heart Link event again on Dec. 13 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. All who are interested should RSVP by close of business by this Friday, Dec. 9. Dinner is provided and childcare vouchers are available free of charge. Call 801-777-4681 to register. Heart Link is a way to interactively learn more about military lifestyles, protocol and how to plug into base programs for military spouses.
