'Sounds of Freedom' at Layton Park
The Military Appreciation Day, themed "Sounds of Freedom" was held Saturday, June 2 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Layton Commons Park to celebrate the local military's commitment to the defense of our nation and peacekeeping efforts around the globe. The proceeds from the event, hosted by Northern Wasatch Association of Realtors (NWAOR) and Layton City, allowed for a $10,000 contribution to the nonprofit foundation for local military emergency housing assistance. Sponsors plan to hold the Sounds of Freedom annually.
F-16 fly-by, picnic and car show to raise money for Hill AFB families
To honor Hill Air Force Base military personnel, veterans and their families, the Northern Wasatch Association of Realtors (NWAOR) and Layton will sponsor the "Sounds of Freedom"Appreciation Day on June 2, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Layton Commons Park.
The highlights of the event, beginning at noon, include a flag ceremony, a fly over by F-16s, a classic car show with nearly 300 entries and speeches by high-ranking officers, local area representatives.

The Northern Wasatch Association of Realtors (NWAOR) and Layton City are sponsoring the "Sounds of Freedom" Appreciation Day for the public to honor and support the military and their families of Hill Air Force Base. The event June 2 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. will begin with a flag ceremony and F-16 flyover.
