Waterfowl Rental Special (through Dec. 28): Rent a canoe and two dozen decoys for $22 a day and $30 for the weekend. You can also rent the decoys for $10 per day or $15 for the weekend.
Outdoor Recreation has some great season long ski/board rental packages available. Equipment check-out begins on Nov. 1 and all items must be returned by April 30. Quantities are limited so don't delay. All packages include skis/boards, boots and poles. Adult rate for skis is $125, and $100 for juniors. Snowboards are $175 for the adult package and $120 for juniors. Helmets are $30.
Emergency Winter Survival training
Outdoor Recreation will be offering classes over three nights Nov. 17, 18 and 19, starting at 5:30 p.m. and ending about 9 p.m. or a weekend overnight on Dec. 20-21. The group will snowshoe or cross country ski into the overnight area and set up camp for the final exam. A list of items needed for overnight will be given out during class.

Question: First of all, thank you for providing military families with a wonderful spray park for the kids …very well done. However, last Saturday when my family and I visited, the area near the covered patio was absolutely littered with trash — looked like someone had a pizza and fast food party the night before.
I secured a trash bag and cleaned it up myself, but am wondering who is responsible for ensuring the trash is taken away? The two barrels were overflowing, but of course that did not stop some people from putting trash on top.
