388th and 419th Fighter Wings help deliver gifts to kids in foster care

NORTH SALT LAKE -- Christmas came early for Top of Utah foster care families Dec. 15.

About 80 uniformed Airmen from Hill Air Force Base's 388th and 419th Fighter Wings gathered at the Utah Foster Care Foundation offices in Ogden to help package and deliver Christmas gifts to foster and adoptive families in Weber, Davis, Morgan and Cache counties.

The Airmen, using their own vehicles and personal leave time from work, stuffed the wrapped gifts in large plastic bags and hauled them off to the families in need.

388th, 419th deliver gifts to foster families

Personnel from the 419th and 388th Fighter Wings contributed their personal time, vehicles, gasoline and efforts Dec. 15 in making sure gifts made it in time for Christmas to 310 foster children in Northern Utah. Approximately 75 Airmen delivered holiday gifts from the Idaho border to Draper and west to Tooele in coordination with the Utah Foster Care Foundation.
