388th CMS Airman earns Diamond Sharp Award

HILL AIR FORCE BASE — Senior Airman Marisol MacKenzie, unit deployment manager for the 388th Component Maintenance Squadron, was recently nominated by Hill AFB first sergeants for their quarterly Diamond Sharp Award.

The award highlights the professionalism and can-do attitude of Airmen who emulate and truly appear “Diamond Sharp.”

MacKenzie distinguished herself from other Airmen through her selfless dedication to the 388th CMS, maintenance group and wing.

She was chosen to help stand-up the 388th Maintenance Group’s first-ever, group-level UDM office. She and her co-workers are responsible for ensuring the readiness of nearly 1,100 personnel.

MacKenzie was chosen for the position over noncommissioned officers due to her expertise. She is also the 388th CMS Cobra Council Booster Club vice president. Throughout the quarter, she helped set up numerous morale events, including a bowling day and the squadron’s holiday party.

She also recently finalized the requirements to receive her Community College of the Air Force degree.
