We received several Commander’s Action Line comments about the West Gate delays on Tuesday morning following the traffic accident near the West Gate. We appreciate everyone’s concern and flexibility regarding the rerouting of traffic.  

I understand many of you were on your way to work when you received the Alert message about the impacts to the gates. Please know that when an incident occurs, we will always do our very best to inform the installation populace of mission impacts, as soon as possible. How fast we are able to make these notifications often depends on how rapidly we can secure the scene, gather facts, and put contingency plans in place. When there is an accident or emergency, please ensure that you take your own personal safety into account, travel when safe, and take precautionary measures.
