How long have you been in the Reserve? It will be two years in July.

Why did you join the Reserve? The main reason I joined was because I wanted to go to basic training. I felt like I needed something to push me, and I also wanted to go to school and use the education benefits.

What has been your best experience in the Reserve? Going to Hickam on annual tour has been the best experience. It's beautiful there.

What is your major in school? Political science.

Would you rather snorkel or go parasailing? Snorkel. I tried it and it's the weirdest feeling to be breathing under water.

What is your favorite app on your phone? Endomondo. It's a fitness tracker and it has a GPS that will track your runs.

What was the last thing you Googled? Kony 2012.

What was your first childhood memory? I almost drowned in Lake Powell. I was two years old, and I vividly remember looking up out of the water and not being able to breath and seeing my dad jump over the side of the boat.

What is your favorite movie? "Shawn of the Dead"
