On April 24, the Airman Leadership School (ALS) Class 2012-D took rakes and trowels in hand to spruce up the area around the ALS building as they raked the grounds, planted flowers and trimmed shrubs.

"This last weekend was Earth Day so we decided to do a little beautification around the building to help start off spring," said Senior Airman Philip Giovanniello as he assisted with the clean-up.

"We were going to do it the week before Earth Day and then we got the thunderstorm," he said. "It worked out that we got beautiful weather this week."

Approximately 27 students rolled up their sleeves and got to work. Senior Airman Jessica Rivait reported that the class leaders in the three flights divided up the tasks between them and then assigned students to weed, plant and various tasks.

Master Sgt. Jessica Elias said, "Class 2012-D are an excellent group of individuals. They are demonstrating their core values by 'Excellence In All We Do,' and in taking care of their resources."
