Commentary: Commentary: Every day we made Hill Air Force Base a better place to live and work

75th Air Base Wing commander

As I wrap up command of the 75th Air Base Wing, I want to thank the men and women of Team Hill for their incredible teamwork, professionalism and dedication to duty. I have been continually amazed and impressed at what you accomplish every day. From the "Total Force" Airmen on the flightline generating jets to fly the day's missions to the skilled civilian depot workforce readying aircraft for the warfighter to the quiet professionals in contracting and the program offices and so many more organizations; you have collectively made Hill Air Force Base an irreplaceable asset for our nation.

For the men and women of the 75th Air Base Wing, the Buffalos, you've brought service to a new, higher standard, and I am proud to have been your commander. In the last year and a half, we've been through some very rigorous inspections and passed with flying colors. We've deployed a lot of Airmen and looked after their families at home. We assumed new duties and welcomed new organizations with the reorganization this last summer, and every day we made Hill Air Force Base more effective and a better place to live and work.

No matter where I go in the future, I will recall my association with the 75th Air Base Wing and Hill Air Force Base with great pride. Thank you for letting me serve alongside you!
