Lt. Col. Christopher Decker, 75th Mission Support Group Deputy, wants Team Hill to be prepared for the Consolidated Unit inspection to be conducted next month. On Aug. 2, 18 inspectors will arrive at Hill Air Force Base to begin setting up preliminary arrangements for the inspection and by Aug. 4 the base will have approximately 170 AFMC IG inspectors on site.

"They'll be making sure that we are following the checklists and staying in compliance with Air Force directives," said Decker.

The Consolidated Unit Inspection is a resource-driven action to combine several inspections together.

"Every Air Force Materiel Command unit on the base is going to be looked at," said Decker.

Everyone has inspection checklists that are unit specific, MAJCOM specific, and Air Force specific. Air Force Instructions direct units to accomplish certain actions, he explained. "As they do their jobs they follow the Air Force Instructions (AFIs) and the checklists."

Decker advises Team Hill to have everything in order, and to be aware that inspectors will be on base, and to display their professional decorum.
