A free conference for military members, veterans and their families, will be offered on the third day of an extended conference in Salt Lake City at The Salt Palace. The Utah Veterans and Family Summit, March 30, follows the Generations Conference held the previous two days. Parking is also free that day for military members and their families at the underground parking facility if they come before 3 p.m.
An employer, education and resource fair is also ongoing during that time.
Laugh with top comedic talent and reach into your hearts with service members who have felt the same pride, fear, weakness and strength that has churned in you. Tap into new ideas to help you and those you love re-connect. Find tools to help with your kids. The conference will offer:
- Using your military experience to soar
- Who's really from Mars? Male-female communication
- The 6 best things parents can do for their kids
- Caregiving through generations
- Family wellness
- Social media in the 21st century
- From the heart - survivors of sucide
- Parenting skills for blended families
- Financial and employment wellness
- Navigating, using and understanding legal documents
- Resetting battle mind -- how couples can cope
- Education planning and using the GI Bill to your benefit
- Women are veterans too!
- The effects of military life on kids
- Porn, sex and the Internet
