The U.S. Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) is filling three Air Force officer vacancies for summer to fall 2012 at Detachment 855, Brigham Young University. Please consider coming to BYU for an assignment as an Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps instructor. It is a great career broadening assignment, or a capstone for your career if you are considering retiring in the near future. There have not been any volunteers approved by the Air force Personnel Center to fill the vacancies for the upcoming school year.
It is not a requirement to be a BYU alumnus, but an ecclesiastical endorsement is needed. Working with and teaching the next generation of Air Force leaders and officers is a wonderful opportunity. BYU is ranked in the Top 10 of the nation with respect to size and performance. It is reported that the program regularly beats West Point and USAFA in rifle drill team competitions. Finally, Utah is a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
If you are interested in being a AFROTC instructor at BYU, or know someone who is, please call or email 801-422-2671 or laura_leseberg@byu.edu.
