Reservists from the 466th Aircraft Maintenance Unit finished first as the weapons load crew of the quarter ahead of the 4th AMU and 421st AMU Jan. 9. Every quarter, the teams race to load weapons onto F16s then compete in February for the yearly title. The team of three reservists from the 419th Fighter Wing, Tech. Sgt. Bryan Wicker, Tech. Sgt. Michael Young, and Senior Airman Jonathan Thorsted, have been practicing for the competition and were proud of their speed. “We were really clicking once we started loading,” said Wicker, the team lead. “Hopefully, we’ll take the annual in February.” The winning team will compete at the 10th Air Force competition with the chance to advance and compete for the Air Force Load Crew award.
