Ski/board rentals at Outdoor Recreation

A holiday weekend special on skis/snowboard rentals allows you to pick up your gear anytime on Friday, Dec. 30, and return anytime on Tuesday, Jan. 3, for the two day rental fee.
Friday hours will be extended until 9 p.m. to accommodate guests who need to pick up their rental packages and ski tickets.

Landing New Year's Bash includes buffet

The Landing (formerly Club Hill) will be ringing in the New Year from 8 p.m. with hors d'ouvres until 11 p.m., and will include a midnight toast, followed up by a breakfast buffet -- all of this plus a DJ to dance the night away. Cost is $50 per couple, $25 individual, $60 for nonmember couples and $30 for nonmember individual.

New Year's Eve Lock In, Dec. 31 will feature activities for ages 9-18. Ring in the New Year among your friends at the Youth Center from 7:45 p.m. on Dec. 31 to 8 a.m. on Jan. 1. Cost is $30 for members and $35 for nonmembers and includes games and activities, pizza and a light breakfast.
New window set to open for VERA/VSIPs

Hill Air Force Base will be accepting applications for a Voluntary Early Retirement Authority/Voluntary Separation Incentive Pay (VERA/VSIP) from Jan. 3 through Jan. 24. Applications will only be accepted through Hill AFB's VERA/VSIP Interactive Program Web site (https://wbhill03.hill.afmc.ds.af.mil/vera_vsip/). Check this web site for more information.
The applicants selected and approved for VERA/VSIP are expected to be off the employment rolls by April 30. It is unknown at this time how many buyouts will be offered.
Employees are encouraged to obtain their retirement estimate before applying. Employees may quickly calculate their own retirement estimates in the Employee Benefits Information System (EBIS) at https://wwa.afpc.randolph.af.mil/afpcsecure/PassReq.asp. Employees may also call the benefits and entitlements service team (BEST) at 1-800-525-0102 for annuity calculations and any retirement related questions.

Christmas Dining at Hillcrest for military

The Hillcrest Dining Facility extends an invitation for a Christmas buffet to all active duty military members, their immediate families, and military retirees and their immediate families -- no other unauthorized guests please. This meal is served by the base leadership from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Department of Defense meal rates apply. Any questions can be directed to 801-777-3686.
