The Hill Chiefs' Group will be hosting its annual Chiefs Recognition Candlelight Ceremony, honoring the newly selected 2011 chief master sergeants, May 13, 6 p.m., at Club Hill. Military attire will be mess dress or semi-formal, Civilian attire will be dinner dress or coat and tie.

Kids will get to see some of the things that military members go through for deployments, April 25 in Building 900. This event is open to all Team Hill families on and off base. Students who attend Hill Field Elementary School will have a prearranged schedule in the morning.

The paving project in the Building 843 parking lot (parking lot northwest through northeast of Building 843 and east of Building 843 has experienced delays due to weather.
Phase 1 of this effort is rescheduled April 25 through May 13. Starting approximately April 25, the area of the parking lot northwest of Building 843 and the first two driveways off 5th Street will be closed for reconstruction. The driveway off "H "Avenue to the west entrance will remain open. Temporary parking will be set up in the parking lot east of Building 843 off "G" Avenue. Project schedule will be if weather permits.

The Airman and Family Readiness Center and the Department of Workforce Services is hosting a Job Fair on Wednesday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Club Hill.

The Child Development Center will be celebrating spring with its annual Race Day Party and Burger Burn on Friday, April 15. The event is scheduled to run from 2:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. and will be in the parking lot at the Child Development Center. Building custodial services on Hill Air Force Base, also known as Janitorial services, have changed for all facilities except those within the 309th Maintenance Wing, Defense Logistics Agency, U.S. Army facilities, Army and Air Force Exchange facilities, Defense Commissary, Base Fitness Center and Child Development Center. Due to budget reductions, custodial or janitorial services will be reduced to a one-time cleaning per week in all restrooms to include stocking paper products.
All other former services, such as sweeping, vacuuming, carpet cleaning, water fountain cleaning, mopping, buffing and floor waxing, have been eliminated. Additional building cleanliness will become the responsibility of the facility occupants.

The SARC office has moved from its current home in Building 118 to a new permanent office in Suite 25B of the Airman and Family Readiness Center (Building 150). The office is across the hall from the Employee Assistance Program office. The office also has a side entrance located on the west side of the building facing the BX.
